FREE!!!

Yeah I said free! That's how much it cost Southpointe residents (in case you are wondering what Southpointe is, it is the condominium complex where the bible college students live, taking up seven out of 346 condos) Saturday morning to get their car washed while enjoying a delicious, freshly barbecued hamburger. Compliments of CCBC Maui.
In order to serve others with the heart of Jesus, to "wash their feet" in a sense, we need to be a bit creative, as times have changed and therefore the washing of peoples feet doesn't have quite the same semblance as it once did. The carwash/ BBQ was a great way to do that. Not only did it allow those at Southepoint to see the heart of the bible college, but it also gave the students a great opportunity to get to know their neighbors in a different light than most are used to. As I stand back and watch I can begin to see the Lord is building upon His foundation there at Southpointe, and it stirs in me excitement to know these are the times....and we are the chosen!!!

Women's D at the Done's

MAHALO NUI LOA (thank you very much) to Elysse Done for once again opening up her home to the bible college women. We had a wonderful time of food, fun and fellowship on Wednesday For our women's devotional class as we joined Elysse (the wife of our Senior Pastor, Dominic Done) at her home for a deli themed, potluck style lunch. Elysse was able to share with the students from her heart on true worship, something that the Lord taught her, through different unique revelations she has had along her journey with the Lord. We were blessed, as always, to get to spend time with this wonderful woman, who dearly loves the Lord. WE LOVE YOU ELYSSE!

"Old things have passed away; behold, new things have come" 2 cor 5:17

We have had a great start to our Spring 2010 semester. Last week we welcomed 31 students to the Island, 15 of which were returning to the Maui campus and 16 new and transfer students. The semester started off on Friday with student orientation, where the students probably experienced information overload. Nevertheless it was a great time for the students to get acquainted with one another. Now we are well into the first week of classes and the students have given nothing but great reports with enthusiasm, ready to plunge in!!
